Rubex - Reports - Create a Dashboard and Add Objects Follow
A dashboard is a great way to represent various pieces of important information in Rubex, bringing multiple insights to the forefront in a more consumable fashion. It is a great way to build a story with your data.
Create
Select Dashboard > Create New
Input a name for the dashboard and select the Save icon.
Select a data source for the dashboard to be linked to and pull data from. (see the https://efilecabinethelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/7737259694356-Rubex-Reports-Create-a-Data-Source for creating a data source)
You have now created your first Rubex Reports dashboard. It may just be a blank slate in the beginning, but there are many ways to customize and build your dashboard.
Add Objects
There are several Basic and Advanced Objects that you can click and drag to add to your dashboard. These include bar charts, graphs, and other visualizations.
When you add an object to the dashboard, you will be prompted to select the specific pieces of data from your data source that you want to work with. This is where you get to choose what you want to pull in and represent from your Rubex data using that object.
In the above screenshot, you could select “File Count” in the Values column, and then select “Drawer” in the Metrics column. This would enable you to view how many files are stored in each drawer within your data source. Checking additional metrics after drawer will enable you to drill down into that object as well.
The data available to you will depend on what you have stored in Rubex, and therefore there are endless possibilities for how you can use various data points to create your data visualizations. We encourage you to experiment with different data and objects. If you want to learn more about specific object types and some of the deeper configuration, let us know. We are happy to answer any questions and direct you to additional resources.
