EFC Online - How To Resolve An "Invalid Storage Location" Message in Sidekick Follow
If you are getting an "invalid storage location" message when attempting to store in Sidekick, it means that you don't have a storage location properly set in Sidekick. If you click the Upload Files tab, you'll likely see that "no store path designated" is listed next to "save location", which indicates that you need to either set a default location, or navigate into an actual drawer/folder for the location to update properly.
If you are using Set Default mode under the Settings tab in Sidekick, perform the following:
1. Select the Home tab.
2. Navigate in Sidekick until the drawer/folder you wish to store into is visible.
3. Right click on the folder and select "Set this item as the default store location."
Send the file to Sidekick again (via whatever method you were using before) and that will send the file(s) to the selected location (after which point you can rename the file(s) if needed).
If you are using Interactive mode under the Settings tab in Sidekick, perform the following:
1. Select the Home tab.
2. Navigate into the drawer/folder you wish to store in.
3. Send the file to Sidekick again (via whatever method you were using), then select the Upload Files tab.
4. Rename the file(s) if needed, then select the upload icon, or Upload all (if all the documents listed are to be uploaded in the displayed directory).
