When utilizing a terminal server setup to access eFileCabinet, local scanners are not accessible through the remote setup. The reason for this is because the remote workstation has no way to determine whether any form of hardware is installed on the local machine without 3rd party software assistance.
In order to get the scanner functionality with eFileCabinet up and running on a terminal server setup, you will be required to utilize a third party program (for example, TSScan). This third party program allows the remote environment to detect locally installed hardware (including scanners).
