EFC Desktop – How do I get eFileCabinet working on a terminal server client? Follow
To allow a non-admin user to utilize eFileCabinet in a terminal server environment, perform the following steps:
1. Give the non-admin user access to the directory C:\ProgramData\eFileCabinet\5.
Right click on the 5 folder in C:\ProgramData\eFileCabinet and go to Properties.
Under the Security tab, select Edit, then Add.
Type "Everyone" in the space provided, then select OK, then check the box next to full control. Click OK and OK in the windows that follow.
2. Make sure the EFC client has access to the client_settings.edb (perhaps one additional .edb file).
3. If the server service is running on a different server, make sure that the server has the eFC server service running under an admin account.
4. When installing the server, client, and add-ons, make sure that everyone is logged out and then trigger Install Mode.
