Upgrading From v4.0 to 2015 or Newer

Hard Drive Space:
Minimum of 3X the size of the eFileCabinet v4.0 data

Time:
Depending on the amount of data, encryption and available hardware resources, the migration process can be quite time intensive. Please be prepared for this. Required hard drive space depends upon the amount of data being stored and the file size of stored images. 

v5.0 and newer will not function in Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, or Vista. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 compatible

Minimum Server Non-SQL (5 – 12 users)*:
Operating System: Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2008/2012 or later
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ / Intel E8400 or greater
Memory: 4 GB RAM or greater.

Minimum Server SQL (13+ users)*:
Operating System: Windows Server 2008/2012 SQL version: 2012 or later
Processor: Intel Xeon/AMD Opteron Class Dual Core or higher
Memory: 6 GB RAM or greater.

Recommended Server Non-SQL (5 – 12 users):
Operating System: Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2008/2012 or later
Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 /Intel I7 2 ghz or greater
Memory: 6 GB RAM or greater, minimum of 25 GB free space on C: drive (even if data storage will be on another drive).

Recommended Server SQL (13+ users):
Operating System: Windows Server 2008/2012 SQL version: 2012 or later
Processor: Intel Xeon/AMD Opteron Class Quad Core or higher
Memory: 12 GB RAM or greater, minimum of 30 GB free space on C: drive (even if data storage will be on another drive).

*These requirements are for a dedicated eFileCabinet setup on the server computer.
