Rubex - Mass Export Data Follow
How to Mass Export Data from Rubex
As a service we offer customers, our Professional Services Specialists help customers of eFileCabinet export a copy of their file data from Rubex to their desired Windows storage location. Please contact your Customer Success Manager/Account Representative for the service fee. Once the service fee has been paid, your Customer Success Manager/Account Representative will help you schedule a time where one of our Professional Services Specialists can work with you to use our eFileCabinet Migration Tool and help export a copy of your data from Rubex to Windows. Our eFileCabinet Migration Tool is only compatible with Windows Operating System.
What is included in the export?
Our eFileCabinet Migration Tool will export a mirror parity of your file data from Rubex to Windows. In other words, exactly how you have structured your file system, and exactly where your files are stored will be mirrored in your designated storage location on your Windows computer/server.
What is required for the export?
Compatible Windows Operating Systems: Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 R2 or newer. Since our Migration Tool is .NET-based, the .NET Framework on the Windows host we export to needs to have their .NET Framework no longer than version 4.7.2. When it comes to storage capacity, either the local disk drive or an external hard drive plugged into that Windows host needs to have sufficient storage capacity for the data stored in Rubex. You can find the total disc usage in Rubex by going to the Admin section and clicking on Settings.
How is the export done?
A Professional Services Specialist will establish a remote session with you, install our eFileCabinet Migration Tool onto your Windows computer. Once installed and opened:
- You will log into the migration tool with your Rubex login credentials (username and password) (the user account needs to be an administrator in Rubex and have admin access to the entire Account Workspace). Once authenticated, we move to the Next step
- Next we select the source, choose the cabinet(s) you wish to export a copy of, and confirm that selection (note that the only “Export Setting” which is used for mass exports is Including File Data).
- Next we click on “Please Select Destination” and choose “Windows” as the destination, and then choose the path. Then click “Confirm.”
- With the Source and Destination selected, we are now ready to click Start to begin the mass export process. The export process will work on one cabinet at a time, and after one cabinet is complete, the tool will automatically move to the next cabinet in the sequence. Once all cabinets are complete, a notification indicates that the export process is complete, and an HTML report is generated detailing what was done and the status of each cabinet exported.
Once the export is done, the Professional Services Specialist will uninstall the eFileCabinet Migration Tool, obtain a copy of the HTML migration report, and close the remote session.
