I am scanning in some HR files and they upload into Sidekick but when I name them and go to Save them, the box turns red. Won't save the file.

It is possible that the reason that this is occurring is because your save location is invalid (meaning if you are trying to store a file into a cabinet, it won’t work), or you do not have permissions to save into the storage location you are attempting to upload the file into.
